I'm Hannah, an illustrator and designer drawing from my home studio in Sherborne, Dorset.
Still Studio is my graphic design and illustration studio where I try to escape from busy days and still my mind, which happens when I'm in the zone drawing.
I like to think of myself as a cataloguer, a distiller,
a re-presenter and an artist. My graphics are intended to be bright and fun, enticing the viewer into studying them more closely to get to the depths of a subject.

My subject matter is often led by my own curiosity. I pick themes that I want to learn more about, and almost like a revision technique, I find ways to draw information out graphically. This makes it far easier to digest and looks great, particularly hung in a downstairs loo where there's time to sit and study I'm told!

Working with local professional printers and using reusable and recyclable postal tubes keeps my business low impact. My simple, colourful and bold designs and illustrations are brought to fine art quality archival paper through the richest giclée printing process, giving amazing depth of colour and a tangibly high quality feel.
​
My background is in architecture, studying at the Welsh School of Architecture in Cardiff and practicing for a decade in London and Somerset, working on projects as diverse as the 2012 Olympic Games, the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse for Shakespeare's Globe, and rural private homes. but the designer and maker was always in me, and now my graphic work brings me the stillness and satisfaction I've always craved.
